Inês Barahona and Miguel Fragata present “Cyclone”

What is “Cyclone” about? Funny, messy, like adolescence: “Cyclone” is a rollercoaster, in every sense of the word!

THE BOOK

Growing up sometimes makes you dizzy: it’s a bit like being tossed around on the world’s most twisted rollercoaster.
Anabela knows this well, struggling with a family that doesn’t understand what it’s like to be 16 in 1973 and to be in love with the young carny who has just arrived in town.
And what about Carla, 13, two events that mess up her life: the onset of puberty, which fills her skin with pimples, and the fall of the Berlin Wall, which catapults her into the world ‘of grown-ups’.
Not to mention the mysterious M. and his life as a wanderer in the family amusement park, in a world where there seems to be less and less room for travelling attractions…
And here is Bernardo, an urban explorer perpetually on the move to post the videos and photos he takes as he wanders through old abandoned amusement parks.

Four teenagers at four different moments in history recount their hopes and frustrations, united by Ciclone, the giant rollercoaster that has been travelling the world for half a century.
