Silvia Baroncelli

Silvia Baroncelli attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, then worked as Artist in Residence in London at the British Museum. She has worked as an author and illustrator since 2005, publishing titles with Italian and foreign publishers. Her illustrations have received prizes and awards, in 2016 she was elected ‘Illustrator of the Year’ in the competition organised by “La Città del sole”. She teaches at Laba (Libera Accademia di Belle Arti) in Florence, and holds illustration workshops for art schools. She often meets her readers, organising creative workshops for children, where participants can try out techniques and exercises to stimulate their imagination.
She is an ambassador for the Community Women 4.0, an association geared towards accelerating the achievement of gender equality through Industry 4.0 technologies.
