Tomasz Małkowski was born in 1966 in Gdańsk, Poland, where he lives and works. He graduated in Special Pedagogy from the Faculty of Education, but by profession he is a historian, or rather, an author of history textbooks. For young readers, in addition to the book The boy who sees with his fingers, he has published a children’s travel guide and the book series The Raiders of the Lost Vase. In his spare time, he likes to learn foreign languages or go for walks with his dachshund. He often spends his days actively: he swims in open water (even in winter, he belongs to the club of ‘walruses’), runs in the woods, rides his bike.
